“Come on In!” A Prime, Inc. Tour

Taking the Prime Inc. tour shows just how much the company values their drivers and independent contractors.  The terminals, located in Springfield, Mo.; Salt Lake City; Denver; Pittston, Pa.; and  Duke, Okla., offer many amenities to help drivers relax and feel at home, even when they are away from home.

Recent Renovation

Starting the Prime Inc. tour at the Pittston terminal gives visitors the understanding of how Prime takes care of drivers.  Renovation on the facility began in 2008, and the company is excited to see the terminal’s new features.  The Plaza terminal offers a dispatch office, gym, and a company store.  In addition, a driver training center offers flexibility for Prime when drivers need additional training.  A five-bay fueling facility rounds out the amenities.  All of these benefit both drivers and independent contractors as it maximizes hours of service.

Future Plans

Eventually, the Prime Inc. tour at all terminals will offer a glimpse at many amenities not found at other carriers’ terminals.  The company plans to include trailer wash facilities, indoor transfer stations, detail shops and a full associate amenities center at terminals throughout the country.  At the Pittston location alone, a café, salon and overnight accommodations for drivers are in plans for future expansion, and many already refer to the terminal as the “Taj Mahal” of trucking terminals.

Millennium Complex

No Prime Inc. tour would be complete without a visit to the Millennium complex, which opened in 2000.  This beautiful terminal offers a fitness center, convenience store, gift shop, childcare center, and expanded cafeteria, providing drivers with the ultimate in luxury when they stop.  There is also a state-of-the-art training center and a high-tech 10-bay shop, as well as a wide selection of meeting rooms to facilitate any training drivers may need.

Taking a Prime Inc. tour shows just how dedicated the company is to providing everything a driver needs to feel at home, even when they are on the road.  If you like what you see here, come drive for Prime!
