Prime hosted its first ever ‘Night of the Millionaires’ event on January 29, 2015 to recognize drivers with a combined 478 million miles of safe, responsible driving.
The event, hosted at the Ramada Plaza Hotel & Oasis Convention Center in Springfield, MO, honored nearly 400 Prime drivers who have driven at least one million miles without a preventable accident. Honored were over 300 truck drivers with one million or more accident-free miles, 70 drivers with two million accident-free miles, and nine drivers with a record boasting three million accident-free miles.
Combined, the drivers’ accomplishments represent more than 160,000 trips from the east coast to the west coast without an accident.
“Driver safety is key to maintaining our reputation as an industry-leading provider of transportation across North America,” said Steve Field, Director of Safety at Prime Inc. “Prime’s Millionaire Program enables us to honor driver associates who symbolize our ongoing commitment to outstanding performance, productivity and consistent, on-time service while upholding the company’s reputation for safety-conscious driving. ‘Night of Millionaires’ is a new way to extend our appreciation. We plan to continue this event annually and invite all active ‘millionaires’ to attend each year.”
Qualifying driver associates in Prime’s Millionaires Program receive a prize package and a personalized plaque displayed prominently in Prime’s Hall of Fame located in the Springfield terminal.
Starting in 2016, Prime will use the annual event to honor new inductees who reached a million mile achievement the previous year.
