At Prime, we firmly believe that safety is our highest calling. We have invested millions of dollars in equipping our trucks with the latest safety technology that is designed to help prevent rollovers and rear-end accidents. This technology, provided by Meritor and Bendix, helps protect both our drivers and the motoring public whom we share our highways with. While these systems do provide some increased safety protection for our operators, remember, there is no substitute for an alert driver.
Our fleet managers and safety team keep close watch on the information being provided to them from our trucks’ safety technology equipment. This technology provides information from trucks that were close to rolling over or trucks that that had to suddenly hard brake to avoid an accident. We use this data to educate our operators on the dangers of not being 100% focused on safety while going down the road.
Below are the 12 locations in the country where we have received the most roll stability alerts from. Please take a look at the list and be extra aware when you are approaching one of these locations. By reducing your speed to half of the posted speed limit in these locations, you can greatly reduce your chances of being involved in a rollover accident.
